Prep Baseball Report 

2/20/16: 5-foot-10, 175 pounder ran a 6.75-60. Soft hands defensively, with a clean exchange. Ability to pick it with a good back hand.  At the plate hits from a slightly open stance. Small leg kick, short stride.  Smooth load, slight arm bar.  Short path to the ball.  Aggressive approach, hard contact.  Consistently barreled up the baseball.  High exit velo of 90. 

6/25/15: The 5-foot-10 180 pound infielder displayed soft hands and a fluid exchange.  Arm action was short and throws were accurate.  Positional velocity was 82mph.  Cooper ran a 7.00 60.  Offensively, Cooper has a balanced setup and a small leg kick.  Bat speed is fast and bat path is level with extension.  Exit velocity was 90mph. 

4/4/15 GAME NOTES: Second base type with soft hands and improved fluid footwork that allows him to get low and through ground balls. Offensively is a lead off contact hitter with some gap power. Continued improvement on pitch selection will pay off with experience. Bat can get too downhill at times. Hands stay back well with a short stride. Is able to adjust to off-speed pitches.  

7/29/14: 5 foot 9 inches, 175 pounds, 7.09/60 Plus actions at SS and flashes the leather, has good hands and fluid feet with a smooth ball transfer, short arm, 83 mph with carry to 1b. With the bat he hits from an open stance with a short stride and a fast bat on a short level path to the ball. Contact hitter that makes adjustments to off speed pitches and sprays the ball.

5/7/14 Game Notes: A 5-foot-9, 170 pound freshman 2B  possesses soft hands and fluid feet.  Consistently makes the routine play.  At the plate shows good bat speed for a freshman with some barrel whip.  On the year is hitting .353 with 6 RBI and 2 doubles.  Ran a 7.08 60 at the Preseason All-State showcase in February.  

2/22/14: 5-foot-9, 170 pound freshman ran a 7.08 60 at the event.  In the infield showcased soft hands and fluid feet.  Played through the baseball well with a clean exchange.  Nothing flashy, just makes the play.  Was 75 across the diamond from a ¾ slot.  Offensively starts balanced and slightly open.  Stride is short.  Tends to over rotate with his lower half.  Possesses quick bat speed producing good whip.  Possesses good strength with good power potential for a 2017.

6/11/13: Actions in the field work well for his grade (2017). Fields most balls clean with a quick exchange.  Arm strength should continue to increase as he matures (70 mph).  At the plate is balanced and uses a short stride. Load is smooth and shows good use of the lower half. Shows good bat speed for a 2017.
